Debbie and I have returned home after just over three weeks in the USA. There is much we love about our country (like cheap gas, it is relative as we pay over $9.00 a gallon here). But what we loved the most were the people we were able to see.
Our first stop was Portland where we saw Richard, Pamela and Brad. What a cute grandson!
In Denver we saw our son David, some really good friends and visited our church. We stayed with our son David. As you can clearly see he has been under some stress.
We were also able to make it up to Greely so see my dad and Glynda.
We spent a week at Horn Creek where I taught a week of family camp. The highlight of the week was the climb to Horn Peek with my son David. The trail starts at 9,000 ft and the peek is 13,500. The air was thin and it was not an easy hike, but the view and time together was worth the effort.
Our time ended in Phoenix where I had the privilege of sharing Gods word at our home church.
Tomorrow we leave on a three day bike trip along the Rheine and Mosel rivers. Check in next week for the story and pictures.
