For those who asked for recipes on Thursday night several weeks ago, I am finally getting around to posting them. Hope you enjoy. Spiced Cranberry Orange Mold 1 1/2 cups boiling water 1- 8 serving size or 2- 4 serving size cranberry jello 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce (in Germany I use preiselberrn) 1 cup cold water 1 can mandarine oranges 1/4 cup chopped nuts (I usually use walnuts, but almonds work fine too) Mix dry jello and cinnamon together, stir in the boiling water stirring until jello is completely dissolved. Stir in cranberry sauce until sauce is melted or disolved, then the oranges and nuts. Stir in the cold water put in refrigerator until firm. *********************************************************************** Mushroom Dressing 3/4 loaf of bread, toasted 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can mushrooms 2 or 3 stalks of celery, chopped (with leaves) 1 onion, chopped 3-4 Tbls. margarine 3 eggs, slightly beaten 1/2 tsp. sage 1 cup milk Cut toasted bread into cubes. Add soup and mushrooms. Cook celery and onion in margaraine until tender, add to bread mixture. Mix together eggs, milk and sage along with salt and pepper to taste, mix with bread mixture. (I think hands work best for this, especially if making this recipe double or larger. You will also find a large bowl especially helpful for mixing this.) If putting into turkey cavity don't pack tight. If baking seperately this needs 1 hour at 350 degrees. *********************************************************************** Sweet Potatos and Apples 2 large cans sweet potatos, drained 1/2 cup raisins 2 apples, sliced and cubed 1/2 cup brown sugar 3 Tbls. melted butter 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Place potatos, apples and raisins in a baking dish. Sprinkle withhh brown sugar and cinnamon, then drizzle melted butter over everything and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
