Brad and Debbie Ellgen

This next week we will be closed here at the house as we participate in Vacation Bible School. I will be teaching the Bible Story each day and Debbie will fill in where needed. It will be a busy week. Next weekend I will be taking a bike ride with three guys. We’ll leave on Sunday by train to Strasbourg France and then bike along the Rheine River to Bigin where it meets the Naha river. We will then follow the Naha home. The trip will last 3 days and we’ll cover about 150 miles. At the end of the month, August 29-September 1 we will take a trip to the beach in the Netherlands. On the way we’ll stop at Corry ten Boom’s house. (Corry and her family helped Jews to hide in their home until they were discovered and sent to concentration camps inside Germany during WWII). In preparation for the trip we will have a logistics meeting here at the house on Wednesday, August 20. Of course the meeting will include dinner and we will watch the movie “The Hiding Place” which is a film about the ten Boom family. Watch the calendar for events and closures. With our new role as field pastor the house will be closed when you might expect it to be open.
