We had heard that Burg Lichtenberg (also referred to as Kusel Castle) was hosting a medieval festival. What better place to take in a medieval festival than in a medieval castle in the middle of Germany. So after chapel on Sunday we headed off to Thallichtenberg home of Burg Lichtenberg.
We had an awesome time exploring the castle. The many booths that were setup were fun and interesting. Lots of vendors selling everything from replica medieval clothing to wooden swords and crossbows for children.
As always it was an incredible time to connect with people as we get "off base" and into the country to experience life together.
