It has been crazy!   We have been running really hard.   We have been hanging out with the soldiers here, saying good-by a lot, and getting ready for my third trip to Burundi.

As so many of our friends are leaving we continue to say good-bye to our dear friends every week.   It has really been very emotional for us.   However, in addition to good-bye events we are also cramming a lot of last trips, last dinner last…which we love but it has kept us very busy.

For the last month we have been collecting clothing to take with us to Burundi.  Tomorrow I will leave arriving on Friday; on Saturday I will be joined by 15 others from Germany.  We will spend 10 days in Burundi doing a children’s program, an eye clinic where we will give eye glasses to folks that need them, I will be teaching a three day ethics seminar to the military and police.

The open doors in this country are really unbelievable.    I am really excited about what God is doing.  If you would like to know more you can read “From Blood Shed to Hope in Burundi”.  This book has really helped me to better understand what has happened in this poor forgotten land.

I return to Germany July 14 and then on July 18 Debbie & I travel to Colorado.   There we will meet with the Cadence International board of directors, teach at a family camp in southern Colorado, preach at Foothills Bible Church, and spend some time hanging out with our newest grandson and his family.

I will try and do a better job and keeping our website updated.  Thank you all for reading and praying for us.
